The Atlantic Music Expo (AME), Cape Verde’s premier international music market, is set to return to the streets of Praia from April 5 to 8, 2027. Organizers announced the dates for the 13th edition of the festival today, promising a vibrant reconnection of global sounds and industry leaders.

As one of Africa’s most influential music gatherings, AME is more than just a festival; it is a professional crossroads. “Music will once again connect continents in the city of Praia,” the organization stated. “It will be four days of discovery, connections, sharing experiences, and sounds that cross borders.”
The expo serves as a launching pad for emerging talent and a vital networking hub where artists, producers, journalists, and festival bookers from every corner of the globe converge. While the event facilitates high-level industry deals, it also transforms the capital into a public concert hall, offering free outdoor performances to the local community and visitors alike.

The upcoming 2027 edition aims to build on the massive success of the 2026 event, which attracted representatives from 120 countries. Last year’s lineup showcased the immense range of the expo, featuring local Cape Verdean stars like Eri Manuel and Mindela Soares alongside international acts such as Canada’s Aiza, Italy’s Faraualla, and Japan’s Maia Barouh.
The Lusophone world also maintained a strong presence in the most recent edition, with notable performances from Brazil’s Nara Couto and Guinea-Bissau’s Patche Di Rima.
