10th MIL Festival Lisbon: B Fachada & Bluay Head Final Lineup
The 10th edition of the MIL Festival is set to transform Lisbon into a global hub for emerging music this October. Organizers have unveiled the final additions to a diverse lineup that features Portuguese favorites B Fachada and Bluay alongside Brazilian standout Bia Soull.
Running from October 7 to 10 at Casa Capitão, the festival serves as a dual-purpose event: a showcase for nearly 60 cutting-edge musical projects and a convention dedicated to the future of the music industry. The bill features talent from Angola, Cape Verde, Belgium, France, the UK, Brazil, Spain, and Portugal across five distinct stages.
A Four-Day Musical Journey
The festival kicks off on October 7 with a roster including Portuguese acts MAQUINA., Rita Onofre, and Tomé Silva. International flavors arrive via Salma Jô (former lead singer of Brazil’s Carne Doce), Belgian act cheapjewels, and the Italian-based electro-rock duo Hate Moss.
October 8 promises a deep dive into the Luso-Spanish scene, featuring veteran B Fachada, Alex D’Alva, and Expresso Transatlântico. They are joined by Spanish artists Queralt Lahoz and Las Petunias, British act green Starr, and Caribbean artist Hey Bony.
One of the most anticipated events falls on October 9: the debut of Novelão. This project, led by Portugal-based Brazilian artists Luca Argel and Jhon Douglas, reinterprets iconic soap opera soundtracks from the 1980s and 90s. The day also features a high-energy mix of electronic and urban sounds from Afrokillerz, MC Luanna, and Hause Plants.
The festival wraps up on October 10 with a marathon of performances by Bluay, Grupo Pilon, Pikika, and Fillas de Cassandra, among others.
Building Bridges and Professional Networks
Marking a decade of influence, MIL continues its mission to “build bridges between Portugal and the world.” The festival has solidified partnerships with major international events like Brazil’s SIM São Paulo, Spain’s Monkey Week, and platforms such as Liveurope.
Beyond the concerts, MIL hosts a series of debates, workshops, and networking events designed to address the evolving challenges of the music industry. While the convention is free to attend (pending registration), it aims to stimulate business opportunities and collaboration between artists and industry professionals.
Ticket and Venue Information
Tickets are currently available via the DICE.fm platform. General passes are priced at 28 euros, with daily tickets available for 12 euros. A “Pro” pass for industry professionals is offered at 50 euros.
Music lovers on a budget can also take advantage of free programming. On October 7, entry to the Sótão and Terraço venues is free. Throughout the rest of the festival, the Terraço and a special outdoor stage hosted by DICE.fm and Altafonte will remain open to the public at no cost.
