Opening hours, Sundays and public holidays
The stores are generally open from Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
Banks are usually open until 3pm.
On the smaller islands, money is often not exchanged on Fridays.
In addition to the various local holidays, the following dates are also public holidays:
January 1st – New Year
January 13th – Democracy Day
January 20th – National Heroes Day
May 1st – Workers’ Day
July 5th – Independence Day
August 15th – Assumption Day
November 1st – All Saints’ Day
December 25th – Christmas Day
Furniture: Carnival Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday
