Entry requirements
For a stay in Cape Verde of up to 30 days, European citizens need a passport valid beyond the date of return and an electronic entry permit (EASE), which must be obtained from https://www.ease.gov.cv/ at least five days before departure. Some tour operators take care of this, often for a fee.
A credit card is required to pay the airport tax of 3400 CVE (around 35 CHF, subject to change) at the time of registration. In exceptional cases, the fee can also be paid on arrival, but additional charges will apply. Children under 18 do not pay the fee.
If your stay is longer than 30 days, you will need a visa, which must be obtained in advance. Contact the Cape Verdean office responsible for you or a visa office in good time.
Citizens of other countries should inform themselves in good time about the entry conditions that apply to them. We reserve the right to make changes at any time.
